Am Fuaran is a cosy, traditional bar overlooking the Summer Isles from the Coigach Peninsula.
We’re open for food and drink all year round!
Bar & Restaurant
The name ‘Am Fuaran’ means ‘the well’ in Scottish Gaelic. This pays homage to a well at the bottom of the driveway which initially served as a watering hole for passing travelers. Today, rather than drink from a hole in the ground, find comfort and refreshment at the Am Fuaran Bar.
The bar has been trading since 1976 when it’s founders, Mr and Mrs. Wilson, built it up from a nineteenth-century ruin. The bar is currently owned and run by the couples two children, Andrew and Catriona, along with Catriona’s husband David.
Local, Fresh, and Delicious
We pride ourselves on using the best local produce, specialising in local, freshly caught seafood.
Take a look at some images and videos in the gallery section.
We grow all our own delicious fresh salad and herbs in our Keder greenhouse on the premises.
